Why Abra is called to do this work . . .
Fitness has always been my go-to when it came to my health – until I started aging. I have always thought I could drink and eat as much as I want as long as I am exercising. Not so! Around age 38, I began to suffer from Osteoarthritis. Learning how to control the inflammation in my body in a holistic way by opening my internal pharmacy and eating the right REAL foods has helped me tremendously. What we put in our mouths plays a HUGE roll in prevention and repair as we age. I want to share this information with our students.
By providing students with a holistic approach to healthy aging we are facilitating their own health journey. What could be a bigger gift? The interactive style of these workshops will help to build community in a different way than a teacher led yoga class.
Students should wear comfortable clothes. Bring some water and pen. After I distribute the books in the first workshop students should bring it to subsequent workshops.
