Mind & Body Back in Balance

Mind & Body Back in Balance

Health and wellness have always been a priority for me. Around my mid-40s, I began to notice changes in my body and mind. I had always been a person that was cold (even in the summer months). Suddenly, I was experiencing moments of heat so intense that I had to strip off layers to cool down. It was as if I was heating up from the inside out! When I washed my hair, it seemed like chunks were falling out. My skin was dry, but I was breaking out in cystic acne just as I did as a teenager. My anxiety felt unmanageable some days, and I had gained some weight, even though I exercise almost daily and eat well. On top of all of that, the shift in hormones made it uncomfortable to be intimate with my husband. Everything felt different about me, and not in a good way.

Does any of this sound familiar?

I knew that I was in perimenopause but wasn't sure what to do to alleviate my symptoms. I began doing extensive research. I read whatever reputable sources I could get my hands on. How was I able to successfully navigate my symptoms and find some relief?

From my findings, I changed my workouts, cooked nutritious food, and drank less (I no longer drink at all). I incorporated a sleeping routine. I started taking natural supplements. I made appointments with my therapist and OBGYN and got certified in Wellness Coaching, emphasizing this stage of life. I had a lot of success and feel better now than I did in my 30s!

Thus, the development of this 4 part workshop. If you are living with annoying peri/menopausal symptoms and want to get your mind and body back into some balance, I would like to help you.

What you will learn and experience:

- The benefits of a healthy whole foods diet

- Understanding insulin resistance

- What foods to avoid or eat in moderation

- Better navigation of the grocery store aisles

- Recipe recommendations and menu planning

- Supplement suggestions for this stage of life

- Workout modifications

- Journalling and meditation to help with anxiety

- Support and community

Sundays 2-330p, Jan 21, 28, Feb 4, 25

$159 for all four sessions, space is limited

Summer Women's Circle

In this series, we are holding space for ten women to play, reset and celebrate, turning some nurturing inward. Show up because you deserve some time curated to be entirely about you. This. Series. Is. Designed. For. You. To. Leave. Feeling. REJUVENATED. You have permission here.

This series will empower knowledge and connection to soften the pressures commonly felt in the depletion of the mind, heart center, and hips. These practices are not traditional physical practices. Minimal movements that = an undeniable sense of rebalance. They are softer, repetitive practices designed to be done in community. They result in a connection to joy, inspiration, and purpose. We are calling out the energy we often give to everyone except ourselves and intentionally taking the time to call it back in.

You will be reminded how to stay connected to feeling the wisdom, love, and wild you so freely give to others. It’s your turn, woman.

We will meet once a month for three months - Wednesdays 7-9p // June 7, July 12, and August 9th. $149 for the series, 10 participants max

Master Class Summer Series // Semi-Private Group

Private lessons are invaluable, but truth be told, they are not cheap, plus yoga is more fun with friends! This series aims to bring together an intimate group of practitioners that want to strengthen their practice (10 students max).

As I treat my private one-on-ones, I'll reach out to you to understand your goals. Whether you want to clean up your transitions, learn to float from down dog to a fold, or hold a handstand, I will offer you something to work on each session. The month in b/t sessions, you will incorporate these techniques into your daily practice.

5-part Semi-Private Series // $169 per student

Wednesdays 7-830p

April 26 / May 24 / June 21 / July 19 / August 23

Structure of each session;

1. Watchful Warm-up

- As I watch you flow through sun salutations and standing poses, I will better understand how to meet you where you are and devise a plan to help you meet your goal!

2. Drills for Skills

- Here, you will be given various drills and techniques to practice. These drills will focus equally on strength, mobility, and technique.

3. Weird Wind Down

- If you haven't incorporated Kundalini + Pranayama in your practice, now is the time! Through these practices we will learn to release tension throughout the body, ultimately prepping a savasana that will leave you begging me to turn off the lights and lock the door behind me!

Intro to Kundalini YOGA

Intro to Kundalini YOGA

Energy, if not released gets stuck. But where? It is thought that memories not expressed or acknowledged can lie dormant at the base of the spine. Kundalini Yoga helps this stuck energy to rise and release.

In this 4 part kundalini-inspired series we will use energetic practices to get in touch with our subtle body, in other words, that part of you that you can hear and feel but the modern world has yet to fully understand. We will learn how to interrupt our personal loops, maybe even jumpstart new ones through dynamic movement, breathwork, and periods of rest + meditation.

This series will give a felt experience of how we regulate and deregulate the brains found in our head, heart, gut, and hips. Each class will conclude with a discussion of what is felt in these practices and their deeper intentions for our personal spiritual progress.

If you’re wanting a powerful shift or have been looking to go deeper, this is for you. Let's get weird!

Intro to YOGA

Intro to YOGA

Intro to YOGA

Trying new things is challenging but usually worth it. Especially if that new thing is a YOGA practice. YOGA has been proven to build mental and physical strength and reduce the risk of injury.

Mental Strength
- our brains have a tendency to be everywhere but the present moment. YOGA helps us find it by focusing on breath, mantra, etc. If you don't think this stuff works, google the effects of rumination on the brain. I'll wait...

Physical Strength
- this is likely more obvious; however, it is easy to underestimate the strength required to hold down dog. Don't worry this series will get you there and ready for our regular class.

Reduce Risk of Injury
- supplementing your regular workout regimen with YOGA is very wise. If you're a runner, Crossfitter, or the like, you are regularly shortening your muscles, tendons, and ligaments, which leaves you more susceptible to injury. YOGA gives the body more mobility, so when you, let's say, tweak your knee, it's less likely something will tear because it's trained a deeper range of motion.

McDad YOGA for Sanctuary Night

McDad YOGA for Sanctuary Night

This is a donation-based class for Sanctuary Night.

Adam, aka McDad, has volunteered to teach a fun YOGA class to raise awareness and funds for women that are forced into situations that he can never imagine for his daughter OR sons.

Sanctuary Night brings to light some of the darkest parts of our society; children that are victims of molestation, women forced into sex trafficking, truths that bring you to your knees. We cannot un-hear what we’ve heard or un-know what we know. Bluespot YOGA is taking a stand with this organization in honor of ALL of our children.

When you look in the face of your children and know they are safe and loved, consider 'what if they were in the hands of another?'. The idea that they could just have easily been victims of sex trafficking, molestation, and trauma, we hope, leads you to where we are today. We pray that the flame lit by Sanctuary Night continues to ignite Columbus and beyond.

Join us for a fun night for a serious cause.

Chan Hemintranont (E-RYT 500, YACEP) is an experienced yoga teacher and teachers’ teacher. She was the founder and former owner of PAI Yoga and Fitness. Her approach to vinyasa flow is creative and rejuvenating. The intention of each class, through breathing technique, is to help students find calmness in their minds, to strengthen the body-mind-soul connection, and to experience a new sense of being, of completeness. Above all, Chan loves having fun during class--and even making people giggle! "If you can laugh in a yoga class," she says, "you are an advanced student."

She is not your typical yoga teacher. Native to Thailand, she has spent almost 20 years in the U.S.A. starting from her MBA completion, International business liaison and successfully opened two yoga and fitness studios. Her incessant pursuit for experience and knowledge from various teachers and modalities led her around the globe learning yoga philosophy, breathing practices, body-mind connection and, most recently, Ayurveda. She recently graduated with Ayurvedic Health Counselor and Ayurvedic Clinical Specialist levels from California College of Ayurveda.

With her profound knowledge in yoga and Ayurveda, she is eager to share her passion in helping her students live more consciously with the right diet and lifestyles, as they truly are the essence of disease prevention and a key to a healthy life and longevity.

Kit Yoon is a licensed acupuncturist and certified clinical hypnotist and integrative health coach. Her mission and passion is to help people feel better by teaching and empowering them to tap into their own mind-body healing potential.

Kit’s been practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine since 2002. Other modalities that she incorporates in her practice include reflexology, hypnotherapy, EFT tapping, life, and health coaching. She currently offers acupuncture at her office in Bexley. She also offers private coaching for high achieving mid-life women who are ready to finally give themselves permission to create peace with food and body so they can live the healthiest life they actually enjoy.

Born and raised in Thailand, Kit came to the US in 1989. Her education and life took her from Washington DC, to Boston, to California, to New Zealand. She and her family have been living in Bexley, Ohio since 2010.

YOGA Express Series

COVID has taken a lot from us but it doesn't have to take our YOGA. Today it's hard to get 60 minutes to yourself to get a yoga practice in. Scratch that, most days it's impossible. So, we developed a virtual YOGA Express Series that will get you the results in half the time.

Join Staci LIVE every Tuesday and Thursday 11a for 30 minutes to _(fill in the blank)_.

  1. open your shoulders.

  2. feel the burn!

  3. sweat!

  4. twist it out.

  5. wake up!

  6. decompress.

LIVE Sessions Schedule:
Tues Aug 18, 25, + Sept 1
Thurs Aug 20, 27, + Sept 3

The series will take place via Zoom and the recordings will be sent out via Vimeo with a password that you will be able to access whenever you want!

$49 for series / 10% off for members
